Houghton Hall & Gardens near King's Lynn, Norfolk, is an outstanding example of Palladian architecture and was built in the 1720s for Sir Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister of Great Britain. Today, it serves as the residence of the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, a descendant of Walpole, and his family.

The mansion was designed by architects James Gibbs and Colen Campbell and is distinguished by its elegant facade and symmetrical layout, typical of the Palladian style. The interiors were richly decorated by William Kent, reflecting the wealth and power of Walpole.
